DLC definition: For the purposes of PCGamingWiki's taxonomy, 'DLC' specifically refers to small and medium size chunks of additional game content such as maps, levels, quests, cards, characters, new gameplay mechanics etc. that can be paid for. Less substantial than an 'expansion pack'. Does not have to be technically downloaded as many games simply 'unlock' the content once player has made the purchase.

This category could be called 'Extra gameplay', but DLC is a much more familiar term to most gamers.
