Issues fixed[edit]

The game has some compatibility issues with older operating systems such as Windows 7 due to the outdated graphics stack (WDDM).
Change operating system[citation needed]
  1. Back up your files and programs.
  2. Go to Microsoft site .
  3. Select at will the type of transition to Windows 10.
  4. Upgrade to Windows 10 or reinstall from scratch.
  5. Download and install the latest drivers for your configuration, in particular the video card.
  6. Turn off the transparency of the desktop interface in the system settings in the personalization color section.
  7. You can also turn on the game mode in the system settings to ensure a higher priority of the game in automatic mode.
This action is the cornerstone of stability and smoothness of the gameplay, as Windows 10 has more advanced basic elements that the game requires.
You can also disable the function of HPET which is a technology of high-precision timer in the motherboard.
This can sometimes cause performance problems.
Disable HPET[6]

Method 1:

  1. Tap on the Windows-key, enter cmd, right-click cmd.exe in the results listing and select to run the command prompt with administrative privileges.
  2. To enable HPET as the only timer run the command bcdedit /set useplatformclock true
  3. To disable HPET in Windows run the command bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock
  4. Restart your computer.

Method 2:

  1. Search "Device Manager" on your PC.
  2. Scroll down to "System Devices" and open the sub-menu.
  3. Scroll to "High Precision Event Timer" and click it.
  4. Click "Actions" at the top of the window, and from that pop-up menu, click "Disable".
  5. Restart your computer.

Out of memory error. You are probably low on disk space

Works for single and multiplayer
Hit F11 while game launches, no download required[citation needed]

When you see the image of MW pop up after launching the game wait about 3 seconds and hit F11. Timing is different based on CPU speed so you can also just hit F11 over and over when the MW image pops up after launching the game.

possible fix[edit]

Should work for both singleplayer and multiplayer.
Players2 fix[6]
  1. Download Players2
  2. Place the "Player2" folder inside your game directory.
  3. Start the single or multiplayer(might have to start as administrator)
  4. When asked to run in safe mode select no, if asked to automatically detect settings select no, If any other yes/no questions select no.
  5. Now you can select your settings and play.
The fov fix for singleplayer don't seem to work with this fix, the game just doesn't start with the fov fix.

(as above or) "create2dtexture failed 887a0005" crash during Bog mission loading[edit]

Disable these setting:[7][8]

Shader Preload

And alternatively:

Sun shadow caching

Spot shadow caching

In case of 20-30 FPS drops on 6GB GPUs, lower texture setting to high.

Mouse skipping/jerking/jumping[edit]

Mouse can skip/jerk/jump around suddenly (even with mouse acceleration off) causing large unintended turns.[9]
Lower mouse report/polling rate[10]

Lower the polling rate (reports per second) in the software for your mouse (such as Logtech Gaming Software or Razer Synapse) to a lower value; such as 125 or 250.
