Disable Easy Anti-Cheat

Online functionality might be affected.

The embedded Easy Anti-Cheat component prevents unknown third-party tools from injecting themselves in the game. This protection can be disabled, which allows the use of said tools.

Launch the game without EAC[3]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>\SAOFB\Binaries\Win64.
  2. Create a shortcut to SAOFB-Win64-Shipping.exe.
  3. Add -NoEAC as a command line argument to the shortcut.
  4. Launch the game using this shortcut.
  5. Third-party stuff will now be able to properly hook or inject into the game.

Be sure to have Steam running when using the shortcut, as otherwise an "Unable to initialize SteamAPI" error might be given.

  1. Bandai Namco’s Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet has Denuvo, even though it’s not being listed on Steam
  2. SAO:Fatal Bullet Beginner's FAQ - last accessed on 2022-07-05
"Sadly, many mechanics in this game are tied to the default console 30 FPS. This means that 60 FPS would alter some of the game mechanics. As far as we know: enemies become far more aggressive and attack far more often, enemies become obnoxious aimbots with perfect headshot aim, some enemies could have almost undodgeable charges, when you multi with 30 FPS players whoever that ain’t host will rubberband hard, guns shoot faster and their accuracy stats seem to double."
