|Boost||All characters (original and licensed) can be bought with real money. Each character unlocks three unique Perks that give certain advantagens to either a Killer or a Survivor.|
|Cosmetic||Skins and clothes for characters.|
|Currency||Auric Cells are the paid currency used for in-game purchases and require real money.
Iridescent Shards are the free currency earned by playing the game normally, and can be used to purchase some of the characters and cosmetics from the in-game store.
The game has a so-called "Shrine of Secrets", which sometimes makes Perks that would otherwise only be available through purchases with real money available for everyone through Iridescent Shards.
The Perks of the Shrine of Secrets are handpicked by the developers.
|Infinite spend||Auric Cells can be bought infinitely, although there's a limited quantity of cosmetics available.|
|Unlock||Some characters are licensed (e.g. the Nemesis from the Resident Evil series) and can only be bought with real money.|
- Note: all maps, including licensed ones, are DLC-independent (meaning it's possible to play on them just by having the base game purchased).
