Key points

Essential improvements[edit]

Hyperresolution Neptunia[edit]

Important notice! As games installation direction contains ; character, files need to be put into <path-to-game>\Birth3\ instead of root directly depending if the character is still part of installation directory.[1][2] Other than that, mod should work similarly to earlier games.
Games resolution options only go up to 1920x1080. With fullscreen game always uses desktop's resolution despite selected resolution option and resolution overall does not go above roughly 1080p.[3][4] This may become problematic for low end machines as resolution is only graphical option to get more performance and high end will get blurry visuals.
With this mod it's possible to force games renderer to use specific resolution. This means it's possible to improve performance with lower values, get better visuals when using desktop's native resolution, and/or use it for downsampling as when using higher resolutions.
This mod may cause certain objects, such as tutorial images, to fail to render on some hardware.[5]
Install the mod[2]
  1. Download archive and extract it into <path-to-game>\.
  2. Open gliConfig.ini with preferred text editor.
  3. Change values renderWidth and renderHeight at the top of the file to desired values.
  4. Save the file.

Issues unresolved[edit]


Codecs and codec packs (CCCP, KCP, K-Lite) may be causing issues with the game.[citation needed]
Uninstall all third party codecs[citation needed]
  1. Uninstall all third party codecs.
    • Try to resolve if there's any codec conflicts (e.g. with Microsoft Fixit Codec tool, Codec Tweak tool, InstalledCodec, etc.) and clean registry from possible leftover values (e.g. with CCleaner).
  2. Reboot the machine and try out the game.


You may also try resetting codec packs settings to defaults.
