Forza Horizon 5 is an open world racing game developed by Playground Games with the assistance of Turn 10 Studios and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is the twelfth main title in the Forza series. As with past Forza Horizon games, it has players driving around in various real-world vehicles within a fictionalized recreation of a real-world environment to compete in and enjoy the fictitious Horizon Festival. Mexico is the setting for this entry, with a map that's 50% larger than Forza Horizon 4's version of Great Britain.

The game was released on November 5, 2021, for Premium Edition players and Xbox Game Pass subscribers who bought the Premium Add-ons Bundle, and November 9, 2021, for Standard and Deluxe Edition players, including Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Essential improvements

Skip intro video

Delete the intro video files[citation needed]

Delete the file T10_MS_Combined.bk2 in the following two folders

  1. <path-to-game>\media\UI\Videos
  2. <path-to-game>\media\UI\Videos\hires

Instead of the too loud intro video now only a silent black screen is displayed.
The game might now load a little faster into the main menu if your PC is fast enough.
This may need to be redone every time a new patch drops.
