Issues fixed[edit]

Run the game at screen refresh rate[edit]

Fullscreen mode defaults to 60 Hz on startup, the configuration file must be manually edited to set the refresh rate permanently.
Set screen refresh rate[1]
  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open pcconfig.txt.
  3. Change ScreenRefreshRate to the proper value (e.g. ScreenRefreshRate 120).

Other information[edit]

Technical specs Supported Notes
Direct3D 9, 11 DirectX 11 mode greatly reduces color banding, and is required for Ambient Occlusion to work.
Executable 32-bit 64-bit Notes
DirectX 11 mode is 64-bit only.
macOS (OS X)

See the beginners setup guide for instructions on how to configure the game for mod support.
Setting up mods requires extracting the game's .DAT files, which noticeably increases file size, increases load times, and may disable achievements.

Audio enhancements

  • Movie-accurate soundtrack mod by Gabriel Bezerra - Updates the soundtrack to use music more faithful to the films, with music from all three Jurassic Park movies, the The Lost World: Jurassic Park PS1 video game, Jurassic World, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Place the OGG files in <path-to-game>\AUDIO\STREAMS\MUSIC, and ENGLISH_CREDITS.TXT in <path-to-game>\STUFF\TEXT[citation needed].

System requirements[edit]

Minimum Recommended
Operating system (OS) XP SP3, Vista, 7, 8
