LCD panels middleware is combination of programs and services working together with device drivers to control the LCD panels on PC peripherals.
macOS
MacBook Pro
MacBook Pro has inbuilt Touch Bar. The Touch Bar is a small multi-touch-enabled OLED strip that was introduced in 2016 as an alternative to function keys on MacBook Pro models. It was phased out of the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models introduced in October 2021. However, the 13-inch MacBook Pro that was announced in June 2022 still retains the Touch Bar.[1]
- When typing, the Touch Bar shows predictions and fonts. More specific functions can be enabled in apps that support the Touch Bar.
- The Touch Bar received a mixed reception and some complaints over its effect on battery life. After limited adoption by 3rd-party developers, Apple decided to reinstate classic tactile function keys on larger MacBook Pro models in 2021.

- The Visual Memory Unit, or "VMU", is the Dreamcast memory card put into Dreamcast Controller. It featured a monochrome LCD screen, a D-Pad, and two gaming buttons. The VMU could play mini-games loaded onto it from certain Dreamcast games, such as a Chao game transferable from Sonic Adventure. It could also display a list of the saved game data stored on it, and two VMUs could be connected together end-to-end to exchange data.[2]
- Bliss-Box Gamer-Pro adapter has the Visual Memory Unit (VMU) LCD read/write support. Allows to save your own image as static wallpaper. See video 1 and video 2.
- Bliss-Box API Tool allows to communicate with a DreamCast LCD via the Bliss-Box Gamer-Pro adapter.
- Dreamcast Emulators do not use Bliss-Box API yet.
