Key points
- Lacks native XInput support, requiring the use of a XInput wrapper (see XInput wrappers) for games that do not support DirectInput or the controller natively.
Inputs
- Resistive touchscreen (lower screen only)
- 2 × digital shoulder buttons: 𝐋, 𝐑
- 7 × digital buttons: 𝐀, 𝐁, 𝐗, 𝐘, sᴇʟᴇᴄᴛ, sᴛᴀʀᴛ
- 4 × digital directional buttons (d-pad): ↑, ↓, ←, →
- Power button
- Microphone
- Volume slider
- Nintendo DSi revision has two inner and outer 0.3 megapixel digital cameras.
Use with PC platforms
Windows
- Run the ds2key.nds homebrew application on Nintendo DS and run server application on PC.
- Supports Action Buttons - normal button input, 𝗔, 𝗕, 𝗟, 𝗥.
- Exact mouse movement - Touching the middle of the touch screen sets the cursor on the Middle of the PC screen.
- Mouse Touch Screen buttons - the screen is divided into having 12 buttons working similar to the normal buttons.
- Guitar Hero Grip buttons - all four buttons act the same as the normal buttons, but have their own settings.
- Mouse Clicks Left, right, and middle buttons
Linux
- Run the ds2key.nds homebrew application on Nintendo DS and run server application on PC.
- All functions work as they do in Windows.
Hardware
Wireless Gameboy Controller
- Transmitted keys: ↑, ↓, ←, →, sᴛᴀʀᴛ, sᴇʟᴇᴄᴛ, 𝗔, 𝗕, 𝗟, 𝗥.
- Supports: Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, Gameboy Micro, DS and DS Lite. Can works on the Revo K101+ system too.
- Range: At least 4 metres line of sight; you can increase the PPK to improve it slightly but it also depends on how the cart is oriented when playing (there can be some dead zones) and if your fingers/body is close to the wireless module.
- Refresh rate: Every 2ms, the keys are checked and a packet is transmitted to the receiver.
- Requires aditional USB receiver. Bluetooth version is wishlisted and might be developed later.
Steam
- Can be recognized as Xbox 360 controller but after manual assignment. Controller cannot be found in Supported Controller Database, so Steam recognizes it as standard DirectInput device.
