Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is a Japanese video game developer housed within Sega's Division 1 department.

Division 1 was originally known as Sega AM11, founded on June 1998 and was headed by Toshihiro Nagoshi. Sega AM11 was later renamed to Sega R&D 4 for a while before it was spun off and became Amusement Vision Ltd. following the restructure of Sega in 2000. Following the merged between Sega and Sammy Corporation that formed Sega Sammy Holding in 2004, Amusement Vision Ltd. was re-integrated into Sega as New Entertainment R&D Dept., before it was renamed to Sega CS1 in 2008. On August 31, 2011, the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio was formed within Sega CS1 (later Division 1).
