Key points
- Requires adapter to connect to PC.
- Lacks native XInput support, requiring the use of a XInput wrapper (see XInput wrappers) for games that do not support DirectInput or the controller natively.
Use with PC platforms
Windows
XInput wrapping
- Being a DirectInput controller, it's possible to use any of the generic wrappers. See the controller article for those.
Hardware
USBJoy2.0/USBJoy2.0E
- Presents itself as a standard HID joystick and does not need any drivers. USBJoy2.0 will work with every emulator or game that uses OS recognizable HID game controllers.
- Compatible with Windows 98 and higher, MacOSX, Linux, Raspberry PI platforms and clones.
- USBJoy2.0 connected to the host computer without any joystick connected will be recognized as a standard 2-button USB joystick. To use other types of joysticks or pads - first connect the pad to USBJoy2.0, and then USBJoy2.0 to a computer.
Retronic Design 9-Pin Adapter
- Compatible with Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10, MacOSX, Linux, Amiga OS4 and Morph OS.
- No driver to install or update (Standard HID input device).
- USB 2.0 compatible. Open source design (public domain).
Raphnet-tech SMS Controller to USB Adapter
- Directly compatible with PC. No driver needed, just plug and play.
- Very low latency (default setting: 6ms, minimum settings: 2ms).
- Compatible with Linux, Mac OS X and Windows, updateable firmware.
- Adapter configuration: D-Pad as axes or buttons, 1, 2, 3 and 4-player modes.
USB Atari RetroPort
- It uses the 2 button Atari standard so it will also work with Atari, Commodore, and Sega Master System digital gamepads and digital joysticks.
- No drivers to install or update.
Bliss-Box Gamer-Pro
- Directly compatible with PC. No driver needed, just plug and play.
