Parallax Software Corporation is an American video game development company.

Founded on June 14, 1993, Parallax was the original developer of the Descent series.[1] In November 1996, Parallax was split into two separate entities, Volition and Outrage Entertainment.

The company still exists with its original founders, Mike Kulas and Matt Toschlog, holding the copyright to the Descent series.[2][3]
