Version differences

The Game of the Year Edition does not include the Survival Edition non-game extras.

The Game of the Year Edition does not include the following DLC: Agility Skill, Animal Instinct, Headshot Reticule, Pistol Burst, Pistol Silencer. These upgrades can be unlocked during gameplay without buying the DLC.^[2]^[3]

The GOG.com^[4] and Mac App Store^[5] versions do not include multiplayer.

Issues fixed

Incorrect UI/HUD placement

The November 2021 update that brought with it Epic Online Services for the multiplayer infrastructure also broke various UI/HUD positions.

Workaround: restore game to an older version^[14]
Launch Steam in desktop mode. Open the Library, `Right Click` on the game and select Properties. On the Betas tab, select `build743.0 - TR Build 1.01.743.0` in the drop-down menu. Click Close to save the changes and allow the Steam client to downgrade the game.

Voice over language setting is not saved

Registry edit to change game language
Go to `HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Crysal Dynamics\Tomb Raider\` Find the VOLanguage key and double click it. Change the value to the following list below: a for Russian e for Arabic 0 for English 1 for French 2 for German 3 for Spanish 4 for Italian 6 for Japanese 9 for Polish

Endurance Boss glitch freeze (high FPS Issue)

Cap the frame rate at 60 FPS^[15]

Camera does not turn in multiplayer mode

There is no permanent solution. This fix will work until exiting the game.

Go to Graphics Options and change resolution, refresh rate, or toggle exclusive fullscreen mode.^[16]^[17]

Force DirectX 9 renderer on DirectX 11 systems

Forcing DirectX 9 on Windows may result in better performance on some systems. However DirectX-11-specific features (tessellation, TressFX) will be disabled. These steps are not for OS X or Linux (the game will not work correctly).

Go to `HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Crystal Dynamics\Tomb Raider\Graphics` Modify the `RenderAPI` value to `9`. Notes Revert to `0` for DX11, anything else will result in DX11 renderer with some DX11 features disabled.

When running from the command line, exclusive fullscreen is automatically switched on and Vsync is switched off.

When running as a looping demo, a result file is not generated.
