Go to `<path-to-game>\bin\`. Open `FC_m64.dll` with a hex editor such as HxD. Go to offset `3F867A0`. Change `00 00 10 41` to `00 00 40 40`.

Field of view (FOV)

Default FOV is locked at 60° for multi-monitor resolutions and when using ladders. Follow the steps below to fix.

Use RoseTheFlower's fix
Download the fix. Unpack the files to the \bin\ folder inside the game directory.

Unlock FOV limitations^[5]
Disable Easy Anti-Cheat for the game. (EAC as been removed from the game) Download FC5 Unlock FOV. Copy `Unlock_FOV.exe` to `<path-to-game>\bin\`. Run `Unlock_FOV.exe` and apply patch to `FC_m64.dll`. It's recommended to backup `FC_m64.dll` before patching. Run the game and setup your desired FOV in the game menu. Note: Keep in mind that sometimes changing the FOV to 90 and higher in multi-monitor mode MAY cause water flickering when moving too fast (by plane etc)

Disable Easy Anti-Cheat

Online functionality might be affected. Play offline to prevent the risk of an account ban.

Also skips the intro videos of the game.

The embedded Easy Anti-Cheat has been removed from the game.

Use modified EasyAntiCheat_x64.dll
Download the latest version of the EAC bypass. Go to `<path-to-game>\bin` and rename `EACLaunch.exe` to `EACLaunch.exe.bak`. Go to `<path-to-game>\bin\EasyAntiCheat` and rename `EasyAntiCheat_x64.dll` to `EasyAntiCheat_x64.dll.bak`. Extract the downloaded archive to `<path-to-game>\bin\EasyAntiCheat`. Third-party stuff will now be able to properly hook or inject into the game.

Disable EAC in FC_m64.dll^[4]
Go to `<path-to-game>\bin\`. Open `FC_m64.dll` with a hex editor such as HxD. Find bytes `40 55 53 56 57 41 56 48 8D AC 24 B0 FD FF FF`. Change to `B0 01 C3 56 57 41 56 48 8D AC 24 B0 FD FF FF`.

Issues resolved

FPS drops with CPU bottlenecking

Change FarCry5.exe priority process to high^[8]
In case off "Access Denied" error use the Easy Anti-Cheat bypass or see this Reddit post. Try to change process priority on splash screen to avoid task switching and connected with it later stuttering in this game if exist.

Lock FPS in game options to your max achievable value or just 60 FPS^[9]

Can't reverse in car, nor descend in helicopter

Disable Steam Input^[10]
Right-click the game on Steam, go to Properties. Click on the `Controller` tab. Under Override for Far Cry 5, set in the drop down menu `Disable Steam Input`

Very low FPS with 99% GPU usage

Use ReShade and Rinput injectors together^[11]
Fix for cards like HD 7870/R9 270 and low details. In case of game error of injecting see Easy Anti-Cheat bypass. In case of FPS drops after using map, disable ReShade by pressing `0` (you can bind the key in injector menu, beginning from version 4.x, by "home" key) or press `Alt`+`Tab ↹`. Sometimes ReShade's dxgi.dll may cause crash on application launch. Restart the system to fix it.

Stuttering

(AMD) Turn on Enhanced Sync in Radeon Overlay (`Alt`+`R`) or GPU control panel.^[9]

Turn on Dynamic Resolution in game options to 30 FPS (it won't limit FPS itself)

Turn on Game Mode on Windows 10

Very High CPU Temperature

Change Maximum Processor State^[12]
This issue mostly occurs on AMD Ryzen X3D Processors. Open Control Panel. Select "View by: Large icons" and click on Power Options. Either Create a new power plan or change plan settings of an existing power plan. Click on advanced power options, then unfold Processor power management, then maximum processor state, and change the Setting from 100% to 99%.
