Key points
- Based on the International editions of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2, which added additional content to both games.
- As with the PS4 version, players can choose between original or rearranged music for Final Fantasy X (X-2 never had rearranged music).
- Players can only skip some FMV cutscenes, no way to skip in-game cutscenes and certain FMVs.
- New to the PC version are various boosters to control the rate of enemy encounters and speed up battles, among others (see below).
- This release adds an auto-save mode; all three games are now saved in a separate slot when entering another area (X, X-2) or ascending one floor (Last Mission).
- Frame rate is capped at 30 FPS.

Video settings
60 FPS
- One fan has shown a framerate of 60 is possible with heavy modification, but it may take "months, minimum" to get the game running this way. While cutscenes play well with enough scripting, doubling the framerate causes severe issues with collision, enemy AI, and many more elements of gameplay.[1]

Other information
In-game boosters
The game comes with 5 exclusive modifiers, or "Game Boosters", to alter gameplay. Pressing F1 through F5 will activate them (by default; they can also be remapped).
Key | Booster effect |
---|---|
F1 | Turbo: Speeds up gameplay on the field and in battle. 2x and 4x options are available. Does not affect menus or cutscenes, and disables sound effects in battles. |
F2 | "Supercharge": characters gain full HP and MP at the start of their turn (X, Last Mission) or extremely rapidly during combat (X-2). Also fills Overdrive gauges in X (must be toggled off and on again for aeon Overdrives). |
F3 | Adjust the rate of enemy encounters between normal, greatly increased, or none at all. (Not available in Last Mission.) |
F4 | Auto-battle: all party members automatically use the basic Attack command each round. (Not available in Last Mission.) |
F5 | Toggles the HUD on/off. |
Parameter Changes
The game also comes with 3 cheats (or "Parameter Changes") that can be accessed via Esc. Note that these cheats will be permanently activated for the save game it was used on, and may trigger some achievements (as they aren't disabled when these are turned on).
Paramteter Change | Effect |
---|---|
Get all items | Gives 99 of each item in the game, excluding key items. |
Unlock all skills | Unlocks every skill for all characters. |
Max Gil | Gives unlimited money. (This is the only booster in Last Mission.) |
