Bandai Namco Entertainment is a Japanese multinational video game publisher and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings.
It was originally existed as two separate companies, Namco and Bandai, founded on June 1, 1955 and Junly 5, 1990 respectively, and the two companies were later merged and become Bandai Namco Holdings in 2005, and formed Bandai Namco Games (Namco Bandai Games outside of Asia until 2014) as a new game publishing entity in 2006. Prior to the merger, Bandai also owned the subsidiary company Banpresto and its video game development division Banpresoft, before the latter was merged with BEC and become B.B Studio in 2011.
