Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is a remaster of the RTS games Command & Conquer and Command & Conquer: Red Alert, featuring enhanced graphics, upscaled cinematics, remastered music and additional gameplay including all expansion packs.[1] It was remastered by Petroglyph Games and Lemon Sky Studios.
Following the official release of the source code under the GPL version 3.0 license on May 27, 2020,[2][3] the game was released on June 5, 2020 on Origin and Steam. As of launch, the game was missing LAN support which had been a feature of the original games, and the developer intended to implement it post-release.[4]
Eurogamer described Command & Conquer Remastered as "one of the best modernisation efforts [they] have ever seen", being "faithful to the original where it matters in terms of the core gameplay and audio-visual design, but [enhancing] the definition and usability to bring the game bang up to date".[5]
Modding is natively supported on the Steam Workshop. Mods for the Origin version can be manually added to the \Mods\
folder.[6]
