Key points
- Improved compatibility with newer operating systems in comparison to the original PC release from 2000.
- Slightly better models with more polygons.
- Uses inferior MIDI music compared to the PlayStation version, though this can be easily fixed.[1]
- Analog on controller works, however, Squall still only runs in 8 directions, whereas in the PlayStation version, Squall has complete circular movement.
- Minor thin black bars on the top and bottom.
- Button prompts are B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, etc., rather than the standard A/B/X/Y.
- Frame rate is capped at 30 FPS (15 FPS during combat).

Better Music Mod - Replaces the default MIDI music with higher-quality tracks, similar to the PlayStation version.
Tonberry - Adds external texture support.
Project Eden - Filters and upscales the pixelated backgrounds. Requires Tonberry (above). Please note that some backgrounds are not perfect and have some graphic problems.
