Key points
- It is recommended to play using an XInput-compatible controller. To use Xbox button prompts, change the On-Screen Button Expanations in the settings to Controller Type.
- Pressing Escape will instantly close the game.
- Features dual audio English and Japanese, though the Japanese FMVs are a mandatory download and can be deleted to save 20GB.
- Internal resolution is locked at 1280x720; use GeDoSaTo for other resolutions.
- Extremely poor pixelated and jagged shadows.
- Some players have reported inconsistent 60FPS. It may sometimes lower to 30FPS when looking at effects such as smoke and fire in the distance and stay at 30FPS for long durations. A potential fix is here.
- Uses Bink for FMVs. The PC FMVs have slight artifacts and are worse than the PS3 version.[1]
- The game has a low volume level that is about half as loud as a typical game. There are no in-game volume options so turning up the PC volume is recommended. If you are streaming or recording the game with commentary, you may want to decrease your microphone volume.

Essential improvements
Remove unused FMVs to free up space
- If you aren't interested in Japanese voice acting you can free up about 20 GB of space by removing Japanese FMV files.

Better 720p upscaling
For NVIDIA users, in the NVIDIA control panel, under "Adjust desktop size and position", perform scaling set to GPU instead of the display. Also set the "Aspect Ratio" to "Full screen". This leaves the monitor at its resolution and allows the GPU to upscale the game instead of relying on the monitor.

Issues fixed
Inconsistent 60FPS
- Please note that occasional FPS drops below 60FPS are normal. However, if the game NEVER seems to reach 60FPS, and you know your PC is powerful enough to handle, try this fix.
Instructions |

- Some users have reported that using a controller instead of mouse/keyboard increases FPS and prevents stuttering.[2] If you don't have a controller, vJoy is an alternative. This may be because the game is searching for an input device and timing out, causing the stutter. It fires the event every one second.
- Disabling hyperthreading on Intel processors may also help. [3]
