dgVoodoo 2[edit]

Can be used to force anti-aliasing and higher resolution.
  1. Download the latest version of dgVoodoo 2 and extract it (verified working on version 2.55.4).
  2. Copy all the files from the MS/x86 folder and paste the files into the game installation folder.
  3. Run dgVoodooCpl.exe and in the DirectX tab set the resolution and anti-aliasing.
    • For best results use a 4:3 resolution matching your vertical resolution (for example 1440x1080 for 1080p or 1920x1440 for 1440p) and set scaling mode in the General tab to Centered.

If shadow rendering is broken, in in-game video settings set Shadow Effects to Minimal.

Issues fixed[edit]

The game won't install[edit]

Use Replacement installer and launcher[citation needed]
(alternative) Run the game using ResidualVM[3]

Issues unresolved[edit]

Guybrush sometimes gets stuck in non-default walking and standing animations[edit]

Reload an earlier save[4]
Avoid skipping cutscenes[5]
Wait for the issue to resolve itself later in the game[6]

Jambalaya Island rowboat moves extremely slowly at higher framerates[edit]

Cap framerate to 30 FPS
Try holding down the "run" button while moving in the rowboat[7]

Random lines of dialogue are skipped even though the skip button wasn't pressed[edit]

Reboot your PC[8]

After the initial Mac OS release, an OS X patch arrived in November 2001.
The game never received a universal binary release after its OS X patch.
