Sonic Adventure DX (2011) is a cartoon third-person platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega, and was released for PC on March 4, 2011. It is the updated version of the original Sonic Adventure DX from 2004.
This re-release of Sonic Adventure DX originally served to address some of the issues of the previous 2004 PC port, however, it also introduced new problems of its own, such as limited screen resolutions options, the game screen is pillarboxed to a 4:3 aspect-ratio, poor frame-skipping, and re-uses the poorly converted WMA audio files from the 2004 port. Its configuration launcher also has issues of not saving the game's settings, and it is missing some of the unlockable Game Gear games from the previous PC port and GameCube version.
This version of the game was later replaced with another version in 2014 to address the issues with this re-release.
