Key points
- Motion Controllers are an input method mainly used for VR. Most PC VR games support at least one of these input methods, but some VR games may only accept games support controllers, although many only support non tracked Gamepad Controllers.
OpenVR
- OpenVR is Valve's closed source VR standard for SteamVR. It allows for input for Steam, Oculus and Windows Motion controllers.
OpenVR Advanced Settings
Adds additional OpenVR settings that allow you to change aspects of games and applications liking and convenience. Allows you to chance controller grips, vibration, position, sensitivity and deadzones. Works with Revive
OpenVR-InputEmulator
An OpenVR driver that allows to create virtual controllers, remap buttons, emulate input, enable motion compensation, and manipulate controller poses.
OpenXR
- OpenXR is an open platform by The Khronos Group made in collaboration with all the major VR players in the industry, with the aim to make an open platform for VR, AR and everything in between. As a platform, it should allow for input from all motion controllers on the market, including the Leap Motion.
OSVR
- Open Source Virtual Reality (OSVR) by Razer and Sensics is an open source standard primarily for the OSVR HDK headsets, as well as other mainstream headsets and inputs.
- Allows specifically for Leap Motion input.[1]
OVRInput
- OVRInput is Meta's API for their Touch VR controllers, exclusive to their VR headsets (PC VR and standalone).
Revive
Revive allows you to use Vive controllers and Windows MR Motion Controllers, and the respective headsets, with OVRInput Oculus exclusive games and applications.
Windows Mixed Reality
- Windows Mixed Reality is Microsoft's XR platform exclusively for their Motion Controllers, the Windows Mixed Reality Immersive Headsets and Microsoft HoloLens.
