Vertical sync (Vsync)
60 FPS and 120+ FPS
Default tick rate is 144 Hz, so it is recommended to play at frame rates such as 72 FPS and 144 FPS to prevent judder.[1] The tick rate can be changed to 120 Hz, which will eliminate judder at 60/120 FPS, but slightly decreases game speed. See here: How to change Tick Rate. Game fps is tied directly to display's refresh rate, independently of the tick rate, or whether vsync option is enabled/disabled.
