Remapping[edit]

Modify key/button binding file[5]
  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open KeyRebindings.txt if you want to modify keyboard bindings and ControllerButtonRemaps.txt for Direct Input controller.
  3. Change Activate Direct Input Button Rebinding: False from the top of the file into True.
  4. Make desired changes (Check your controllers PC Gaming Wiki article for button numbering) and save the file.

Notes

Neither controller axis nor D-pad can be rebound, resulting lesser experience or possibly rendering some controllers completely unuseable. Use external XInput wrapper to rebind these instead.
Haptic feedback is not supported with DirectInput controllers. Use XInput wrapper with haptic feedback support, e.g. Steam input.
More details are included at the bottom of the file.
