Widescreen resolution and FoV

Game contains widescreen switch which is switching between 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.
There is no native support for 16:10 or any other ratios and game is stretched to fullscreen.
Custom field of view and aspect ratio can be set by FOV Hack by Racer_S from Widescreen Gaming Forum. [1] which unfortunately will not work with the Steam version.
Widescreen Fixer utility also supports this game. It allows to set custom aspect ratio.

Random crashing

Random crashing can be resolved by switching off Next generation content from Display options. Crashes only occur at certain points in the game so the setting can be switched back on once beyond the problematic area.

Steam overlay

Game does not support Steam overlay and no permanent fix is yet known.
Alt-Tab seems to be working flawlessly as a cheap fix.
