Issues fixed[edit]

Errors at launch[edit]

Some users have reported that having ASCII characters in your Steam nickname will cause errors at launch.
Change your nickname to one with basic characters only[1]

Framerate locked to 24 FPS[edit]

CryEngine 3 may set the monitor's refresh rate to 24hz, resulting in choppy gameplay even if the internal GPU render shows a high FPS.
Use your monitor's manual refresh rate toggle to reset it to the desired FPS or try to change few things in system.cfg. Change part DX9 to DX11 and part fullscreen to 0. If you are running game in 1920:1080 or another than 1280:720 change the part about it in this config file.[2]

Notes

  1. When running this game without Administrator elevation, activity in %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%, and %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore\ (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/34870/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (34870) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
