Issues fixed

Can't connect to an online game

Disable non-used network adapters[citation needed]

Run the game at screen refresh rate

Fullscreen mode only offers the option to use a refresh rate of 100 Hz or less, even if the screen's refresh rate is set higher than that.
Set screen refresh rate[4]
  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open Video.scr with a text editor.
  3. Set MaxRefresh to the screen refresh rate (e.g. MaxRefresh(120)).
  4. Add Fullscreen() at the bottom if it doesn't exist.

The game starts with upside down, and black and white videos

Windows 8, 8.1 and later systems are affected. If this 'bug' is happening, just follow the instructions below.
Instructions
  1. Download and extract the Sniper: Ghost Warrior 'Upside down', 'black and white' menu fix.
  2. Go to <path-to-game>\Game\Data\Menu\Movies\ and make a backup from the files inside.
  3. Replace the existing files with the new ones. Now the game's background, intros and credits should look like normal.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/34830/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (34830) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
