Anniversary Patch

Fixes performance issues, enables support for all languages present in the game files and removes the sepia effect in the Worms 3D campaign levels, among other things.
Supports the Steam and GOG versions of the game.

Mouse Fix

Fixes mouse movements, which in the vanilla game make the aim jump around random positions and is overall stuttery.

The game must be run at a resolution lower than native for windowed mode to work. Special K can be used to enable windowed mode at native resolution and also move/center the window by disabling "Fullscreen" in the game launcher and then setting Borderless to false, OverrideRes to the native resolution and Center to true in the OpenGL32.ini file.
Borderless fullscreen windowed
Borderless fullscreen windowed by default with "Fullscreen" in the launcher disabled at native resolution. Special K can be used to enable borderless windowed mode at resolutions lower than native and also upscale to fullscreen by disabling "Fullscreen" in the game launcher and then setting Borderless to true, Fullscreen to true and OverrideRes to the desired resolution in the OpenGL32.ini file.
Anisotropic filtering (AF)

Anti-aliasing (AA)
Up to 16x AA (2x/4x AA seems to be MSAA, 8x/16x AA seems to be 1x2 and 2x2 SSAA), FXAA.
Vertical sync (Vsync)
On by default, no option to disable it.
60 FPS and 120+ FPS
60 FPS V-Sync can be forced off through the GPU control panel. Side effects of frame rates higher than 60 FPS are unknown.

Anti-aliasing (AA)

Force SGSSAA (Nvidia only)[4][5]
  1. Download and run Nvidia Profile Inspector.
  2. Create a new profile for Worms Ultimate Mayhem and then add WormsMayhem.exe to it.
  3. Change Antialiasing - Mode to Override any application setting.
  4. Change Antialiasing - Setting to 4x [4x Multisampling].
  5. Change Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling to 4x Supersampling.
  6. Press "Apply Changes" in the top-right corner.
  7. In the game launcher, set Anti-aliasing to 4x (2x2).

Notes

Driver downsampling (DSR/Custom Resolutions (Nvidia) or VSR (AMD)) combined with FXAA or SMAA may be preferable.[6]

Issues fixed

Improper scaling when system-wide scaling is set

Disable system DPI scaling[7]
  1. Find WormsMayhem.exe.
  2. Right click and open properties.
  3. Under compatibility, open high DPI settings and disable display scaling.

While the "No Movies" setting is off, the movies still won't play

This can cause hardlocks when the game is trying to play a prerendered cutscene, ending up with a black picture and an eerie "..." for subtitles.

Go to the game's directory and run RegVideoDLL.exe as administrator[8][9]
This will briefly open a black window. Once it closes, the game can be played.
