The HD version does not come with any default keyboard bindings, use the below barebone config to work around the issue.
Add keyboard bindings manually[2]
  1. Launch the HD version once to allow it to create the configuration file.
  2. Open <path-to-game>\dlc\config.ini.
  3. Add the following section to the bottom of the file:
