Difference between revisions of "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition"
(Grove Street Games is still listed by Rockstar on the Steam page as the main developers, there is no public word on how much involvement Rockstar North had and if GSG got pulled from the project or not, all based on rumours) |
(Stated by devs that all physics code was ported over to UE4. UE4 handles all visual rendering, thus no Renderware engine used anymore.) |

Series | Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition |
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - The Definitive Edition is part of the Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, which comes with Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition bundled. The Definitive Edition release was very much similar to the original's, with controversy about its visual and technical issues plaguing upon release. Based off the broken, and infamously worse mobile ports of the game, alongside new censors such as replacement of the flag on Phil Cassidy's or removal of the Haitian and Cuban references and modification to the original game release. Game textures have been upscaled using AI, resulting in grammar and spelling errors alongside poor quality textures, and the art style no longer fits the modern graphics. It utilizes Unreal Engine 4 for the new visual fidelity, meanwhile using RenderWare for everything else. The original release (1.0) features a non-encrypted archive which is the only version to support modding.
