{{Introduction

{{Introduction
|introduction      =
+
|introduction      = Disney Speedstorm is a kart racing game developed by Gameloft Barcelona and published by Gameloft. It features various Disney and Pixar characters racing vehicles on tracks themed after their franchises' worlds.

|release history  =
+
|release history  = It was released in early access on April 18, 2023, with pay-for Founder's Packs available. It became free-to-play as of the full release on September 28, 2023.

|current state    =
+
|current state    = The game features cross-platform multiplayer and cross-save progress between all PC stores and consoles. It also features cross-platform multiplayer with mobile, but currently does not support cross-saves with that platform as the mobile version is only available in certain regions as a soft launch. New seasons adding four or five new Racers from a Disney or Pixar film or franchise, a new environment based on that film or franchise, a new Season Tour, new bonus Racers unaffiliated with a season's focused-on film or franchise that are unlockable mid-season, and several new Crew Members are released in the game approximately every two months.

|cosmetic            =
+
|cosmetic            = Certain customization items (which include racing suits, victory animations, kart colors and liveries, kart wings/spoilers, kart wheels, and license plates) can be purchased with Tokens, usually for a period of time.
|currency            =
+
|currency            = Tokens are the premium currency used to to buy upgrades, customization items, or Season Coins. Tokens can be earned through Ranked Multiplayer.<br/>Season Coins are used to buy items in the shop or open Universal Boxes for Racer and Crew Member shards. They are earned through a daily limited event, completing tiers in the Golden Pass, through boxes in the Season Tour, or from duplicate exchanges. Season Coins last through the end of a season, after which excess Season Coins are automatically converted into Tokens.<br/>Multiplayer Coins can only be earned though rewards from Ranked Multiplayer ratings or completing certain limited leaderboard events at a higher rating. They are used to unlock specific cosmetics for a hefty price or a random cosmetic, including avatars and mottos for the player's profile, through the cheaper Multiplayer Box.

Color blind players have complained to Gameloft that the color choices are hard if not impossible to differentiate. (There are a couple differentiating elements to indicate the current colors, however; the text of the Racer's current color status on their HUD is black when the Racer is green and white when they're purple. Also, green skill boxes show Arbee with a simple happy smile like the 🙂 emoji, while purple skill boxes show Arbee with a more impish smile like the 😈 emoji without the horns.)

Disney Speedstorm is a kart racing game developed by Gameloft Barcelona and published by Gameloft. It features various Disney and Pixar characters racing vehicles on tracks themed after their franchises' worlds.

It was released in early access on April 18, 2023, with pay-for Founder's Packs available. It became free-to-play as of the full release on September 28, 2023.

The game features cross-platform multiplayer and cross-save progress between all PC stores and consoles.

Monetization

Type Notes
Free-to-play Players can access a significant portion of the game content without paying. Local Freeplay, the lone offline single-player and local multiplayer mode, and Private Track, the private online multiplayer, allow players to play as all Racers on any track, regardless whether or not they've unlocked it.
Subscription Golden Passes have a premium tier that unlocks more items, including Racers that are only easily available through that tier during their franchise's season.

Microtransactions

Type Notes
Boost There are purchasable packs that give players Upgrade Parts to level up Racers, and Shards to unlock Racers and Crew Members or increase their star ratings.
Cosmetic Certain customization items (which include racing suits, victory animations, kart colors and liveries, kart wings/spoilers, kart wheels, and license plates) can be purchased with Tokens, usually for a period of time.
Currency Tokens are the premium currency used to to buy upgrades, customization items, or Season Coins. Tokens can be earned through Ranked Multiplayer.
Season Coins are used to buy items in the shop or open Universal Boxes for Racer and Crew Member shards. They are earned through a daily limited event, completing tiers in the Golden Pass, through boxes in the Season Tour, or from duplicate exchanges. Season Coins last through the end of a season, after which excess Season Coins are automatically converted into Tokens.
Multiplayer Coins can only be earned though rewards from Ranked Multiplayer ratings or completing certain limited leaderboard events at a higher rating. They are used to unlock specific cosmetics for a hefty price or a random cosmetic, including avatars and mottos for the player's profile, through the cheaper Multiplayer Box.
Finite spend Each of the four packs of Season Coins can be purchased with Tokens up to three times each season, effectively allowing players a maximum of 1,770,000 paid-for Season Coins each season for a total 28,500 Tokens.
Free-to-grind Core gameplay does not require purchases to access. Certain limited events require specific Racers or a Racer from a specific franchise to unlock or earn items.
Infinite spend There are no limits on the amount of Tokens that can be purchased.
Loot box Purchasing Season Boxes unlocks random Racer and Crew Member Shards for a season's focused franchise. Purchasing Universal Boxes unlock such Shards among all previously-released franchises.
Time-limited Some cosmetic items or Unlock Packs are sold for a limited time with discounts.
Unlock There are Shard packs that are purchasable with Tokens allow players to unlock Racers and Crew Members they haven't earned enough Shards for yet. Otherwise, players will have to rely on earning Shards through Regulated Multiplayer or buying shop items with Season Coins (which can also be purchased with Tokens).

Color blind mode
The Color Match race type forces players to pick up skill boxes (which has the image of the game's mascot Arbee) that matches one of two colors, green and purple, corresponding with the color of the underglow added beneath the Racer's kart that flips every fifteen seconds.
