Input
Keyboard and mouse | State | Notes |
---|---|---|
Remapping | The Pause and Numpad Enter keys cannot be bound/used at all. There is also no keyboard equivalent for the right stick’s directional attack function on a traditional controller. This was said to be fixed in version 1.3[5], but the functionality appears to still be absent. |
|
Mouse acceleration | ||
Mouse sensitivity | ||
Mouse input in menus | Going back in menus still requires a controller button or keyboard key press. Does not work in the brawler selection menu in campaign mode. | |
Mouse Y-axis inversion | ||
Controller | ||
Controller support | Playing with a controller is strongly recommended as analogue stick inputs are required for some techniques. | |
Full controller support | A keyboard is required to change input profile names. | |

Audio
Audio feature | State | Notes |
---|---|---|
Separate volume controls | Separate sliders for music, SFX, voices, and announcer volume, as well as a master volume control. However, some sounds are unaffected by all sliders and will always play at maximum volume; see Some sounds are too loud. | |
Surround sound | Stereo only.[6] | |
Subtitles | All speech is always subtitled or in a dialogue box except for the announcer and all non‐bespoke/generic voice lines from fighters, mobs, and bosses during gameplay. | |

Issues unresolved
Some sounds are too loud
- Some sounds will be disproportionately loud if the relevant volume sliders are set below 100%, like the sound effect of the Sokka’s Boomerang item. (Version 1.3 was supposed to have fixed this[5], but only some issues were fixed.) This is because they are unaffected by all volume sliders, and will always play with a volume balance intended to match 100% on all sliders. The only mitigation is to leave volume sliders at 100% and lower the volume of the application through others means (e.g. the Windows volume mixer).
Issues fixed
Escape key doesn’t work
- After binding Esc in an input profile, even if its bind is removed, it will no longer perform its intended function of pausing while using that input profile, which can cause softlocks.
Edit the input profile and choose “Restore Default”. |
