The original C78 version version supports DirectInput.
Full controller support
A set-up launcher that opens when starting the game in the original C78 version and previously in the overseas version until it was removed entirely as of Update v1.2.7.
Controller remapping
Controller can be remapped from the in-game Options menu.
Controller sensitivity
Found only in the Japanese version which is adjusted by editing the external_option.txt file, otherwise movement is digital.

Remapping

Remapping keyboard controls in the original C78 version must be done through the external_option.txt found under <path-to-game>, which uses virtual-key codes for key bindings. A reference sheet of virtual-key codes can be found here.
