Version differences

The European retail version of the base game has enemy executions and the Elementary School cutscene at the end of the game removed.
Super POSTAL (the Japanese version) includes two new levels (Tokyo & Osaka), in addition to the Special Delivery expansion.
POSTAL Plus, includes the Special Delivery expansion. This version was included in several compilations.
The digital version (labeled POSTAL: Classic and Uncut) includes the Special Delivery expansion and content previously exclusive to Super POSTAL, alongside many improvements and fixes, such as: native widescreen support, modern controls, restored multiplayer modes, new campaign options, and more.[4]

Fan-Patch

An unofficial fan patch of the game, fixing bugs, but also adding new features, cheats and optional balance changes.
Specifically made for the Modern Steam release, but compatibility with older retail release hasn't been tested.
An overview of the Fan Patch features is presented in the author video, and in the mod readme.
Apply the mod
  1. Download the mod from here
  2. Extract the archive, and place the patch folder, Postal_Fan_Patch.exe and POSTALPATCH.INI to <path-to-game>.
  3. Launch the game via Postal_Fan_Patch.exe.
The balance and gameplay changes can be reverted by replacing the executable with the one provided in the Classic Gameplay (optional) folder.

Santa Patch

Alternative, official Christmas theme for the game.
Compatible with modern versions of Postal.[5]
Included in the digital versions and is enabled automatically during holidays.[6]
Apply the mod[7]
  1. Download the mod from Running With Scissors website (under "old stuff") or ModDB.[8]
  2. Open santa.exe and press the Setup button.
  3. In the directory menu, click Browse and go to <path-to-game>. Select the Postal folder and confirm.
  4. Press the X-mas button.
