This page is for the Definitive Edition. For the original game, see Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition is part of the Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, which comes with Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition bundled.
The Definitive Edition release was very much similar to the original's, with controversy about its visual and technical issues plaguing upon release. Based off the broken, and infamously worse mobile ports of the game, which features broken bicycle acceleration, alongside new censors and modification to the original game release. Game textures have been upscaled using AI, resulting in spelling errors alongside poor quality textures, and the art style no longer fits the modern graphics.
It utilizes Unreal Engine 4 for the new visual fidelity, meanwhile using RenderWare for everything else.
