Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake - Master Collection Version is a bundle of singleplayer stealth games published by Konami. The games are part of the Metal Gear series.
Metal Gear was developed and published by Konami for the MSX2 in 1987. The sequel, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, was released in 1990 on the same platform.
Both games were later ported to PlayStation 2 by Aspect and included in the Subsistence version of Metal Gear Solid 3 release in 2005. The same version of the games was used for the 2011 HD Edition curated by Bluepoint Games. The HD Edition included in the HD Collection serves as the basis for the Master Collection Version by Rocket Studio.
