SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions is a singleplayer JRPG game in the SaGa series.

Scarlet Grace is the first original consumer title in the SaGa series since Unlimited Saga, released in 2002 for PlayStation 2.

Originally released in Japan for PlayStation Vita in 2016, an expanded version, Ambitions, was later released in Japan for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Windows, iOS and Android in 2018. An English localization was released on December 3, 2019; the English Windows version was delivered through a software update and and lifting the Japanese region restriction on its Steam store page.

3. Go to your Downloads page to check that the game has finished updating; this will download the Japanese version
Backup the folder <path-to-game>\SaGaSCARLETGRACE_Data\StreamingAssets\Bundles\Voice\
Set the game's language back to English
1. Right click game in your library and select Properties...
2. In the General menu, select English from the Language dropdown
Wait for the game to finish re-downloading the English version
Replace the folder <path-to-game>\SaGaSCARLETGRACE_Data\StreamingAssets\Bundles\Voice\ with the Japanese backup

Other information

Intro Cutscene

The opening cutscene that plays before the title screen will not appear on the Steam version of the game, unlike the PS Vita, PS4, and Nintendo Switch versions.^[1] Instead, the MP4 file is included in the game's folder.
