A Steam key can be redeemed if you already own the game at Blockland Steam Conversion page.
Purchasing the game on Steam will not provide you with a Blockland key, which may be limiting if you plan to host a dedicated server or play the game without Steam.
Demo version of the game can be downloaded at Blockland Download page along with portable edition of the game (key needed).
The game uses its own authentication servers independent of Steam. This means the authentication servers can be down even when Steam is up and vice versa.
