Ultima II: The Revenge of the Enchantress is a singleplayer RPG game in the Ultima series.

The original DOS version was designed to run on CGA graphics mode, intended for composite monitor or television set which would introduces some form of colour burst to achieve higher colour depth. Virtually every modern display technology are most likely unable to replicate it and would display the picture "as-is" to then-contemporary RGBI monitor.

Additionally, like majority of DOS applications made for early IBM PC lines and its clones, the game will run too fast and will be unplayable on modern PCs since it is only designed to run at original IBM PC's CPU clock of 4.77 MHz.

The fan-made upgrade patch fixes the problems mentioned above in addition to other improvements and fixes.

For the GOG.com release, file changes in DOSBox are redirected to <path-to-game>/cloud_saves/ even if GOG Galaxy is not used (this folder contains all redirected files, so some files in the cloud_saves folder might be temporary files or other files that do not contain saves or settings).
