Main Assembly is a 1-4 player vehicle simulator utilizing pre-made and user-built vehicles developed by Company:Bad Yolk Games and published by Company:Team17.

Closed betas was held from 16 December 2019 to 24 January 2020[1][2] and 14 February 2020 to 28 February 2020.[3] An open beta was held from 26 March 2020 to 5 May 2020.[4][5] From 28 May 2020 to 8 June 2020, the first 55,000 entrants in a PCGamer giveaway had access to a special closed beta.[6][7]

The game was formally released into early access on 11 June 2020 and left it on 26 January 2021.[8][9]

The game released its first post-launch patch, version 1.1, into public beta on 11 August 2021, which added quality-of-life features and fixed several issues, such as pressing the A button on an XInput controller resulting in text chat being opened.[10] However, this update, as of 12 April 2022, has not left public beta.
