This page is for the remaster of Crysis (2007). For the original release of the game, see Crysis.
Crysis Remastered is a singleplayer FPS developed by Crytek and Saber Interactive. It is a remaster of the original Crysis based on the console versions of the game from 2011, rather than the original PC release from 2007.[2] It is also the first release in the series that is not published by Electronic Arts, instead being self-published by Crytek.
The game uses Crytek's CryEngine, a standard for the series, with new features such as hardware ray tracing, higher resolution textures, improved particle effects and global illumination.[3] A future-proof "Can It Run Crysis" graphics preset is also present, making reference to a phrase that became popular around the original 2007 release because of its highly demanding nature on PC hardware at the time.[4]
Crysis Remastered released on September 18, 2020 for Windows exclusively on the Epic Games Store. It was originally set to release on July 23, 2020, but was delayed to allow for further improvement due to negative online feedback following the leak of a gameplay trailer.[5]
As the remaster is based on the console port of Crysis, the level "Ascension",[2] the entirety of the game's multiplayer,[6] and a number of control options including leaning, suit shortcuts and manual saving are no longer present from the original PC release.[7][8]

Use the control fix[14]
|
- This fix re-enables leaning and classic weapon selection from the original Crysis.
- This fix conflicts with the default key bindings and disables the weapon wheel.
- Extract the
Libs folder from the archive to <path-to-game>\Game\ .
- To optionally restore the original binding for fists to 1 alongside pistols, rather than on 5 by itself, extract the
Scripts folder from the archive to <path-to-game>\Game\ .
- Open the game and either enable "Classic Nanosuit Mode" or rebind the "Armor Mode" and "Cloak Mode" controls.

Issues unresolved
Display settings reset on launch
- The game may reset the display resolution to the native monitor resolution and the antialiasing settings to SMAA 1TX on launch.[16]
Issues fixed
Low performance with CPU and GPU usage below 100%
- Due to a conflict with Windows 10 v2004, CryEngine games may sometimes run at a low framerate despite not using all available system resources or cap the framerate below the monitor refresh rate.[17][18][19]
Change Vsync in the graphics card control panel[17][20]
|
- Add "Crysis Remastered" to the graphics card control panel if the profile does not exist already.
- Change the profile's Vsync setting
- For Nvidia, change the Vsync setting to Fast and apply.
- For AMD, enable Radeon Enhanced Sync and apply.
