Mods
Silent Hill 4: The Room Wrapper by Nemesis
- A wrapper for the North American version which adds some fixes and new features, such as:
- Change the resolution
- Correct the FOV to widescreen
- Disable cutscene letterboxing
- Changes FPS in cutscenes to run at 30 instead of 15
- Enable 60 FPS support. Has serious issues:
- Causes Henry to be unable to move in attack stance.
- Cannot finish the game because of a game-breaking bug during the final boss.
- Disable the blur in cutscenes (change all values to 0)
- Pause background will render at native resolution.
Notes
- Not required for the GOG-version as it natively supports Widescreen-Resolutions.
Silent Hill 4: The Room Widescreen Fix by ThirteenAG
- A D3D8 wrapper which adds some fixes and new features, such as:
- Widescreen support.
- Disable cutscene letterboxing.
- Changes FPS in cutscenes to run at 30 instead of 15.
- Correct the UI/ HUD width in widescreen.
- Enabling this option disables shader effects and makes some UI elements look strange.
- Disables hardware check before launch.
Notes
- Not required for the GOG-version as it natively supports Widescreen-Resolutions.
Silent Hill 4: The Room 16:9 FMV Pack by CataBridge
- A modified in-game video pack that lets you watch the FMVs in 16:9 ratio without the 2Dfix option of the ThirteenAG patch. Can work with ThirteenAG Widescreen Fix/GOG version. Without the 2Dfix option you can now use the ThirteenAG fix without losing any shaders along with the correct aspect ratio of FMV.
Notes
- Converted from the PS2 version.
- Doesn't support aspect ratio other than 16:9.
Silent Hill 4 PC Fix by Steam006
