This page is for the Master Collection re-release. For the original release, see Metal Gear Solid: Integral.
Metal Gear Solid - Master Collection Version is a singleplayer stealth game published by Konami. It is part of the Metal Gear series.
The original game, Metal Gear Solid, was developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Japan and published by Konami on PlayStation in 1998, and chronologically takes place after the events of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake and before Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. The expanded re-release, Integral, was released in 1999 on the same platform, and added new features such as a Very Easy diffculty setting and first-person game mode, among others.
The Master Collection Version of the game was developed by M2. Player can choose between the original game and its Integral expanded re-release. It was released on October 24, 2023.

- Virtual save data from other PlayStation Konami titles can be created from the "Edit Saved Data" menu which can be used before the boss fight against Psycho Mantis. The game list depends on the region. (Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid: Integral only).
- Save data is stored across 8 storage lists of 2 memory cards with 15 slots each (30 per storage list, 120 slots total). Save data takes one space, while saved photos take two spaces.
- Each language setting has its own save data.
