Issues fixed

Installing on 64-bit versions of Windows

Manual installation
  1. Copy the ROADRASH folder to your install drive.
  2. Copy AWEMAN32.DLL, RASHICON.DLL and RASHDROP.DLL from the SETUP folder to your ROADRASH folder.
  3. Create a text file with the following content:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\RoadRash 95]
    "Path"="C:\\ROADRASH"
  4. Change path to your install directory, rename file extension to .reg and execute it.
  5. Start RASHME.EXE to play the game.
Use the automated Replaying.de software[citation needed]
  1. To get the software you need to register an account at Replaying.de (or PCGW should create a mirror) http://www.replaying.de/konto/registrieren/
  2. The website is in German, Benutzername means Username, E-Mail-Adresse means Email-adress and Wähle ein Passwort/Gewähltes Passwort bitte wiederholen is where you insert your password.
  3. After registering you can get the software here http://www.replaying.de/road-rash/road-rash-patch-windows-vista-7-x64-64bit/

Colour problems on Vista/7

  • Exit explorer before starting Road Rash, then restart it. Can use a batch file.
  • Alternatively, use cnc-ddraw- if the game is cropped off and not filling the entire screen, try an older build of cnc-ddraw like 1.4.1.0

MIDI music hangs post-race

Even when set to GS Wavetable Synth, if CoolSoft MIDIMapper is installed, it causes this issue. May not be the only cause.
