Problems launching the game[edit]
With some modern PCs, there have been problems launching this game. If the game refuses to load or loads to a black screen, one possible workaround is to set your desktop resolution to 1024x768 (the game's default resolution).

Notes
- ↑ This version of StarForce DRM does not work on Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.[1][2] For supported versions of Windows the StarForce driver may need to be updated manually using SFUPDATE.
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in
~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/15210/
in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (15210) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
