Field of view (FOV)

Edit hero.xml file[2]
  1. Navigate to <path-to-game>\pers\XML.
  2. Edit hero.xml with a text editor.
  3. Find a line <camera fov="50">.
  4. Edit the value (default 50) and save the changes.

Notes:

This may introduce minor, yet noticeable glitches of some surfaces not being rendered when far from camera or near the edges of the screen.

Windowed

Use Dxwnd[2]
  1. Download and run DxWnd.
  2. Add new game.
  3. As start exe use <path-to-game>\ntsw.exe.
  4. In Main tab make sure under Window initial position & size the game window size (fields W and H) is exactly the same as specified in game's launcher.
  5. To use borderless mode, go to Video tab and select modal, otherwise select thick frame.
  6. In Mouse tab, make sure to enable Mouse Clipper.
  7. Close the configuration window and launch the game from within Dxwnd.
  8. Make sure to select the same resolution as previously configured in Dxwnd for window size.
