Use widescreen fix[2]
  1. Install ThirteenAG's fix.
  2. Open HiddenandDangerous2.WidescreenFix.ini.
  3. Set FOVFactor to the desired value.

Enabling depth buffer for Reshade

Some Reshade shaders, such as Marty McFly's Ambient Obscurance, need a working depth buffer to function.
This method works only if ThirteenAG's fix is installed.
Install newest Reshade and select Direct3D9 for the rendering API.
  1. Go to <path-to-game>\Scripts.
  2. Create a configuration file called Global.ini
  3. Copy and paste the lines [GlobalSets] and UseD3D8to9=1.
  4. Launch the game and open Reshade by pressing the Home key. Then check Copy depth before clearing in the D3D9 tab.

Notes

  1. Applications writing to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE will be redirected to other locations based on various criterias, see the glossary page for more details.
  2. 2.0 2.1 When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  3. 3.0 3.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/703320/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (703320) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
