Essential improvements

Installation on 64-bit systems

The game's installer is a 16-bit instance of InstallShield 3, and throws an error window which claims that it requires Windows 95 to run (otvdm can not bypass the latter issue).[1]
Copy disc files and apply compatibility fixes[1]
  1. Create an empty folder on the hard drive and copy all files from the game's disc into it.
  2. Download the 32-bit version of InstallShield 3 and extract it to said folder.
  3. Run Setup32.exe in compatibility mode for Windows 95.

Resolving rendering issues

On modern systems, the game improperly renders text windows and is unstable.
Use DDrawCompat[1]
