Video settings detection failure

Attempting to start the game or the configuration utility results in the error message: Failed to choose the optimal settings preset for your video card. Minimum settings were selected.
Windows XP compatibility mode[citation needed]
  1. Locate the game executable <path-to-game>\bin\win32\Game.exe.
  2. Right-click, select Properties
  3. On the Compatibility tab, set the Windows version to Windows XP

Crash on start-up

The Void requires PhysX v2.5.2 which is not included in Nvidia's PhysX installers.
Download missing DLLs[citation needed]
  1. Install the NVIDIA PhysX System Software.
  2. Install the NVIDIA PhysX Legacy System Software.
  3. Install the AGEIA PhysX Engine v2.5.2.
  4. The game should now start up and play.
