Field of view (FOV)

A built-in FOV slider was added to the game on March 13, 2020,[4] allowing to adjust the gameplay FOV between 70-100° (defaults to 70° at 16:9), however cutscene FOV remains locked to 70° unless modded.
Edit GameUserSettings.ini to set gameplay FOV to a value beyond the in-game limits[5]
  1. Open %LOCALAPPDATA%\Terminator\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini with a text editor.
  2. Find a line starting with FieldOfView= and change its value.

Affects cutscenes, allowing to compensate for Vert- scaling at 21:9 and wider resolutions but may be undesirable at 16:9.

High dynamic range (HDR)

Enable native HDR output

  2. At the bottom of the file, add the following lines:

HDR only works in Exclusive Fullscreen mode. Set Window Mode to Fullscreen within the in-game video settings.
Setting the Window Mode to Fullscreen doesn't let you change the resolution anymore. Open %LOCALAPPDATA%\Terminator\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini to change ResolutionSizeX= and ResolutionSizeY= to your desired resolution values.

Depth of field

Disable depth of field[6]
  1. In the graphics menu, set "Post-Processing" to medium. This disables chromatic aberration and depth of field while retaining ambient occlusion shadows.
  2. For additional sharpness, motion blur can also be disabled in the graphics menu.

Lens smudges and dirt

Remove lens smudges/dirt by installing this mod: Disable Lens Dirt effect for Bloom[7]

Anti-aliasing (AA)

Disable TAA through a config file edit
  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open Engine.ini.
  3. Add [SystemSettings] and r.PostProcessAAQuality=0 to the bottom of the file and save the changes.
